On 10 and 11 February, the VI Dies Academicus of the Class of African Studies will be held in the Sala delle Accademie of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana
Msgr Navoni, deputy Prefect of the Ambrosiana, illustrates the copper palm tree created at the beginning of the 16th at the behest of Cardinal Borromeo. Restored in 2018 by Centro Restauro Venaria Reale, today this spectacular sculpture welcomes visitors at the top of the entrance staircase of the Pinacoteca.
