Accademia
ENVISIONING AND REPRESENTING AFRICA
On 10 and 11 February, the VI Dies Academicus of the Class of African Studies will be held in the Sala delle Accademie of the Biblioteca Ambrosiana
Among the Pythagoreans there is a figure dressed in white: erroneously indicated by some as Hypatia, he is a young man gifted with virtue and beauty, he embodies the ideal disciple of philosophers and the concept of kalokagathía (to be beautiful and good); the idealized young person therefore personifies the one who seeks in his life the True, the Good and Beauty.
