DON FERRANTE'S BOOKS IN THE BIBLIOTECA AMBROSIANA
An exhibition that aims at reconstructing the "considerable collection of books” belonging to Don Ferrante, which Alessandro Manzoni describes in the Promessi Sposi (The Bethroted).
To celebrate Grandparents’ Day – Sunday October 2 – the Ambrosiana Art Gallery offers free admission to all grandparents accompanied by their grandchildren.
An opportunity to spend a special day together among the wonders of the Ambrosiana.
Grandparents and children will be able to admire the great masterpieces such as Caravaggio’s Basket of fruit, Raphael’s Cartoon for the School of Athens , Leonardo’s Musician but also memorabilia such as the gloves of Napolenon and the reliquary with the hair of Lucrezia Borgia, then concluding the visit in the Federiciana Room among the sheets of Leonardo’s Codex Atlanticus.
