EDITORIAL AND STUDY ACTIVITIES + PHOTO REPRODUCTION RATES
Any use for study or editorial purposes must be requested to Mondadori Portfolio by filling out the form below.
If a publication license is also required, it is mandatory to specify the following details in Reason for the request field: title, publisher, print run, distribution territories, and whether a digital edition is planned, along with the type of digital format.
The license for images publication, with the exception of the Codex Atlanticus and the artworks of the Pinacoteca collections, is to be considered granted free of charge for contributions appearing in periodicals of a primarily academic-scientific nature and circulation, provided that print distribution is also planned. For this category of requests a handling fee of € 40.00, excluding VAT, will be applied.
Applications incorrectly formulated, or sent in ways other than those indicated will not be given consideration.
The applicant will receive by e-mail a cost estimate, relating both to the costs of the photo reproduction service and reproduction rights, if the application seeks a publication license. It should be noted that this procedure is intended to supply images exclusively in jpeg format.
Cost estimates which fail to receive a reply within 60 days of sending will be considered forfeited and the transaction cancelled.
We remind Applicants that the processing times of the estimate require a meticulous procedural process ranging from accurate checks on the handwritten material and all technical / accounting checks. So the response might not be immediate; in any case, we will send you the quote as soon as possible.
Unless otherwise indicated by the applicant, the invoice will be registered in the same name; prepayment is required. The photo reproductions will be delivered within 30 days from the date of payment.
The Library reserves the right to refuse authorisation at its sole discretion for reproduction of materials in a state of preservation liable to be damaged by handling.
